Cafe: It’s 2022 and we’re looking to dole out some fresh new perspective. Not ours (you all get enough of that) but perspective from creators like Paradox3D! Paradox, thanks so much for agreeing to speak with us. I particularly enjoy your POV renders and your well realized fantasy settings!
How long have you been creating 3DX and what got you interested in the first place?

Paradox: Hello! Thank you for appreciating my work.
I’ve been interested in 3D graphics for a long time, mostly in regards to computer games. I was especially interested in making assets and new objects for games, but I always wanted to dive deeper into 3D modeling and visualization and explore other areas of its application.
I came to 3DX in 2016. I first learned about it from my old friend, X3Z. He showed me his work and I was intrigued, and I really wanted to try my hand at it. X3Z helped me get started and also advised me later on. We released the first sets together with him. A little later I started releasing my solo sets.

Cafe: It’s always so cool to hear about creators helping others develop: one of my favorite things about the 3DX industry is how helpful most of the community is!
Now, your themes are largely fantasy based and often involve beautiful women who have that ‘something extra’ haha!
What are some of your inspirations for your settings and characters? I’m definitely a fan of elven women!

Paradox: I have always been a fan of fantasy worlds and loved games and films in the genre; that’s why I wanted to work on it. But, it seemed to me that there were already too many artists doing that, and I didn’t want to stop there, so I managed to work in other genres.
Lately, I’ve really returned to fantasy again, introducing new characters that have found their own fans. I wanted to move away from classic fantasy a little and combine it with futanari: and I want to keep doing it!

Cafe: That sounds great! The sky’s the limit (or maybe not?) When it comes to your work: I’m happy to hear that you’re staying adaptable!
You mentioned that you were originally interested in making assets for games. Do you ever see yourself developing a 3DX game at some point?
Paradox: Yes, 3DX games and animations are really one of the things I would love to do someday. In the future, I would like to study and develop in these areas. But this can take a lot of time and resources, as well as a fairly serious investment in hardware, to produce some really high-quality content. Despite that, I really hope that eventually I will actually have the opportunity to delve into it. I’m making an effort to get to work towards it.

Cafe: For how long you’ve been putting out work, it seems like you have the tenacity and persistence to reach your goals. The current prices of hardware right now certainly don’t make things any easier, but you’ve been doing extremely well with what you have!
What would you say is the most challenging thing about learning 3D? Do you have any advice for someone who might be interested in trying to make their own?
Paradox: That’s a rather difficult question. In fact, quite a few minor difficulties can arise, when learning and beyond. Speaking about myself, I paid special attention to the study of working with materials and light. In addition, I had to spend a lot of time learning how to optimize a scene. On the one hand, to get the fastest possible rendering time and not run into the limitation of hardware resources, and on the other hand, not to lose visualization quality.

But these challenges shouldn’t scare anyone or stop them from trying. If someone really wants to do it, they just have to try. There are quite a few guides and articles that can help you get started. Also, don’t be shy about asking other artists for advice. As we discussed earlier, our community is quite close-knit and many artists will be happy to help and suggest!
Cafe: That is all excellent advice! I have spoken with several creators who emphasize proper lightning: it can make a huge difference!
Alright, last question here! If I’m not mistaken, you’ve recently come out with a new set that looks pretty sweet! Can you give us any clues about what else you might be working on in the near future?

Paradox: In the near future, I would like to gradually introduce new characters. They’ll have their own, new stories, and they’ll have things in common with existing characters. Also, I have long wanted to do something in the sci-fi genre and maybe try to combine it with fantasy. There are a number of different ideas and maybe some new, unexpected ones will visit me.
Cafe: Wonderful! We very much look forward to seeing that: I’m especially curious to see what you might do with a sci-fi combination!
Thanks so much for your time, here’s wishing you a productive, creative new year!

Paradox: Thank you. It was a pleasure to speak with you.
For my part, I would like to wish for the further development of your store. I see that you are all trying very hard and posting a lot of interesting stuff. Keep up the good work!
If beautiful fantasy realms and illustrious elven women (some quite well endowed!) are among your favorite things, Paradox3D is here to rock your world! They don’t yet have a Patreon (but they plan to change that soon!) but you can check out their offering on the NGP store, and tons of sexy stills on their deviantart!
